The SFS team is made up of passionate and gifted volunteers who share a common vision.

At the core, our intention is to inspire, educate and entertain and to have fun times doing it! We are bunch of like-minded dreamers, groovers, dancers, healers, lovers, poets, alchemists, soul-shakers and we believe that life is sacred, and that everyone deserves to live in a just society, where our differences are respected, our gifts appreciated, our strengths amplified through mutual support and encouragement. We lift each other up and reflect beauty and creativity. We know that living in a city can be daunting, easy to feel isolated, to feel flat, to feel 'not-enough', to feel overwhelmed. We know the power of a kind word. A smile. A friendly nudge saying ,'You Can'. We know the power of uplifting lyrics and heart-expanding poetry. We know that groups of people huddling together in music venues, sharing warms smile and warm hearts can reconnect you with that feeling of community and make a cold Melbourne winter that much easier to bear. We know that deep down we all want to make a significant contribution to the wellbeing of the planet and our fellow humans. We know that we all want to live in a world free of hate, or racism, or violence, or belittlement and fear. We believe in shining our way towards a brighter future. That's why we do what we do.
