The second SFS event once again mesmerised and electrified the audience with artists taking the packed audience on a journey of various expressions of womanhood and love. SFS helped to support ï»¿Asha India and their vision to help give hope to the hopeless through supporting locals on the ground in developing countries who endeavor to rescue, restore and empower individuals affected by, or at risk of exploitation in red light areas.

Art2Healing Project in Nepal

The first SFS event is was funded by Victorian Multicultural Commission, and organised by women from Melbourne to help raise funds for several projects run by Art2Healing Project in Nepal, Cambodia and Thai-Burma Border that will support the operational cost of providing shelter, prevention campaigns, education, legal aid, vocational training and counseling projects.

​Elroi Peace Center

SFS organised an event at the Cape Lounge Fitzroy to help raise money to build Elroi Peace Center. EHC is a small organisation in a slum in Kenya helping orphaned/vulnerable children & women/children with HIV.

Sewing the Seeds

24th of September 2012 @ The Toff

 

The 'Sewing The Seeds Project' aims to help young, rural Indian women and widows gain economic independence and break the cycle of poverty. Rotary India has trained 100 women in sewing but they do not have the funds to purchase their own sewing machines. Gayle Factor and the SFS Team helped to raise funds for these sewing machines.
